Click Here to Apply OnlineMy client, an international investment firm is seeking a Business Analyst for there . The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business requirements and underlying business context, writing functional specifications, documenting technical solutions and providing support for technical design and testing.
The scope of the role includes global and regional business/process requirements, including pricing and risk management. Knowledge of interest rate derivative and fixed income products is required.
Main Duties
To liaise with traders, desk heads, mainline functions such as Product Control (PCG), Risk Management, Program Management Office (PMO) and IT at various levels of seniority to drive out business requirements for new releases;
To work closely with all impacted IT teams as the primary consultant on the requirements throughout the development period;
* To assist the IT teams in the prioritization and resolution of (non technical) defects during testing phases (system testing and UAT);
To analyze and provide support for the implementation of change requests;
To contribute to the education, training and assistance of others within the team with less experience/knowledge.
Essentials:
Be able to take lead role with minimum supervision;
Have strong analytical and communication skills;
Be able to write requirements in a very clear and concise manor;
Be structured and pragmatic in their approach;
Take a holistic approach, taking ownership of problems, for example: cross check business-related issues and explore the impact of changes made or required on other systems and business processes;
Be able to manage personnel from other areas to ensure analysis is comprehensive and complete;
Work collaboratively intra-/inter-team to achieve success;
Enjoy working to deadlines to realize the business benefits associated with IT projects;
Preferred:
* Experience of structured analysis techniques, able to produce process/workflow diagrams, use cases and use case diagrams when required;
Experience of UML and Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
Person Requirements:
Candidates should have experience of an investment banking/financial environment.
Knowledge of the following areas within the fixed income and interest rate derivatives businesses:
Trade capture;
Valuation and risk.
Profit and loss reporting
