Excellent Market Leading Public company that is growing and doing very well -- has a nice opportunity for an experienced Validation Engineer. VALIDATION ENGINEER (Great Long Island NY location near beaches with relocation provided. -- Very Generous Relocation package is available! ) Requirements: We are looking for someone with hardware and software experience as well as hands-on lab experience... BSEE or equivalent (MS preferred) and five or more years of experience in system hardware validation; understanding of the requirements of silicon validation; experience in defining and implementing system level and low level validation procedures; hand-on debugging experience of hardware and software issues; strong hardware background and expertise in using engineering lab equipment. Desired experience includes: experience in silicon validation; knowledge of USB systems; FPGA experience; 8051 microprocessor firmware development; familiarity with C programming and ATE testing. Responsibilities include: System level validation of FPGA and silicon to ensure that the design meets all functional and electrical requirements; development of validation test plans; writing of low level and diagnostic software for use in validation; analysis and documentation of lab results; support of customer applications and Test and QA chip-related issues. Proficiency in Windows-based PC software applications and excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
