Client is currently seeking a Western Regional Account Manager. The primary duties include but are not limited to:
* Building and maintaining profitable and professional relationships with customers west of the Mississippi, through implementation of an organized and focused plan and the use of local area representatives.
* Promoting and uncovering new business opportunities while implementing long-term strategies for repeat business.
* Encouraging the growth of sales volume through regular travel, close customer contact, technical assistance and product support.
* Assisting the sales, manufacturing and engineering teams in the design and marketing of new product endeavors, including proposal preparation.
Applicants for the position should be highly motivated self-starters with a desire to win, ideally possessing a sales or engineering background, familiarity with the Aerospace industry, other high tech sales or a related discipline. Candidates should be comfortable with being held accountable for results, possess exceptional communication and presentation skills, be capable of performing multiple tasks, be computer literate to the extent of utilizing a laptop computer for communications and presentations, and client-focused. This candidate should be an expert at motivating both internal and external personnel in a demanding emerging market with the ability to manage, motivate and operate as a collaborative partner with the engineering, service, marketing, customer care and related organizations in delivering a world-class service. They candidate must have a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, solid leadership skills and a personality reflective of the client interface required of this position. Strong problem solving and negotiating skills are a plus. A four-year college engineering degree (preferably electrical) and related work experience is highly desired.
