Basic Job Functions: Identify and reduce sources of variation in product performance through analysis of product and process data.

Experience:
• 5 – 8 years experience in statistical analysis in a production environment
Education:
• BS, majoring in Statistics, Mathematics or an Engineering discipline.

Required Skills:
• MS Office
• Proficiency in writing scripts to query data
• Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis of large data sets including ANOVA, regression, hypothesis testing, correlation analysis, partition of variance
• Ability to identify trends and patterns in production data, then determine root cause
• Demonstrated proficiency with a Statistical software package
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Ability to interface with process development and manufacturing engineering to determine root cause and corrective actions.

Desired Skills:
• Write queries in SQL
• Write scripts in Minitab or JMP
• Data mining in software
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Identify and reduce sources of variation in product performance through analysis of product and equipment parameter data from the production line.
• Troubleshoot root cause of product performance excursions in a timely manner
• Assist external production plants with analysis of product performance variation
• Develop daily product performance reporting tools to aid in identifying changes in key process variables
• Develop automated reporting tools and automated analysis through scripting
• Support Development Engineering's statistical analysis requirements to help achieve product performance improvement goals

Physical Requirements:
• Will sit and stand for long periods of time during the day.
• Will walk, climb stairs and on equipment.
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist
• May lift up to 50 lbs.
• Required to use hands to finger, lift, handle, carry or feel objects.
• May stoop, kneel, bend, talk and hear.
• Specific vision abilities are required.
• All associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair).
