I worked with the director of WCHR and other interns to educate Chadron State College student athletes regarding the importance of nutrition. Health screenings were conducted to evaluate body fat percentage, BMI, cholesterol levels, and other areas of wellness (sleeping habits, stress, alcohol and tobacco use). Nutritional information was given in group and individual settings by working with the goal/s of the athletes. Additionally, I served as a wellness coach with Panhandle Public Health District in Hemingford, NE and provided information on exercise and nutrition to help implement a mini work site wellness program.
