Universal Banking

Period : Jan 2012 - Till date
Project details: Introduction of Web based Banking process is current age
requirement for Misys Universal banking. This service provides Web
banking solution resulting in light processing involved at client system.
This enhances user experience.
Challenges and Key Achievements:
. Automation framework designed for Quick Test Professional was not
working for web based solution implemented for Universal Banking.
This was a known constraint of QTP.
. Did a proof of concept and designed automation framework using
Selenium. Going forward this java based framework will be used for
automation. This automation framework will eliminate usage of QTP
for testing resulting in considerably lesser cost to the
organization.
. Worked with developers in order to standardize naming convention
being followed. This is critical for success of test framework
since objects are identified based on unique attributes.
2. Project title : Framework integration testing of Universal
Banking.

Project details: Fit (Framework for Integration test) is a testing
framework which reduces number of the errors resulting from changes made
to a unit of code. This is very useful for nightly generated build
testing and a power full way of saving effort of regression testing.
Challenges and Key Achievements:
. Analyzed Fit tool compatibility with Bank fusion Universal
Banking.
. Worked on POC for implementation of fit in new product development
environment.
. Trained cross geo team on usage and adoption of Fit in their
respective teams.
. Developed test suite for nightly generated builds. Prepared end to
end test plan and executed the test suite.
3. Project title : Environment Migration Testing for
Universal Banking

Project details: Difference in data quality on client side and dummy
data used in testing Environment resulted in some functional issues in
production. The goal of Migration testing is to certify the product with
replica of client data and same process used by client.
Challenges and Key Achievements:
. Developed an optimal approach of automated testing with the client
data. This was done post analysis of environmental issue and data
quality issues
. Involved in preparing automated Build acceptance test suit for
Migrated Environment.
. Worked on designing reference document for automated testing at
Migrated Environment. This will act as the baseline document for

Project details: With multiple clients being added for Universal banking
continuous testing was required. Additional modules were developed,
modified and continuously integrated with existing product. The
stability of these builds is critical for success of the product. A new
process Continuous Integration testing got induced in Misys .The purpose
of this test process is to keep a release build stable for every release
cycle.
Challenges and Key Achievements:
. Worked on requirement mapping to test cases. Designed the high
level test cases.
. Did resource estimation for this newly initiated test process.
Worked with testers to design the test suit.
. Developed scripts to check if right data was getting propagated
to all related systems.

verification quires.
5. Project title : Build Acceptance Testing for Universal
Banking

Project details: Product development Environment had a high frequency of
code changes and new code addition resulted in frequent build changes.
To ensure the change in code or newly added code integrates well with
existing functional, a test process Build Acceptance Testing was
introduced.
