Projects
Senior Design Designed a delivery device to transport a biomaterial used in correcting spinal
bifida in utero. Worked on the project as APM (Assistant Project Manager). Used vital skills
such as building phantoms and models to test the product as well as using biomedical
software for simulations. Used FDA standards and guidelines to develop a new medical device
from scratch. Testing on mice and lambs underway.
BioAmplifier ECG - Designed, built and tested an amplifier capable of measuring biopotentials
in the millivolt range from electrodes placed on an electrically isolated biological specimen or
on the skin of a subject. Used skills such as resistor and gain selection and worked with real
human subjects for testing.
Medical Image processing Worked extensively with DICOM images obtained from real CT
scans. Sorted and processed the images for better viewing using filters. Displayed the images
in three different orientations and also converted them to separate movie files that can be
viewed outside MATLAB. Also extracted critical patient information from such images.
