Following  law  school  at  theUniversity of Miami, he earned a Master's degree from Boston  University  inpublic relations.Marvin was an executive with the United Way in Reading, Pennsylvania.  Hewent on to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York asDirector of Public Relations. Touro Infirmary, a 650-bed hospital in NewOrleans, hired him to be Director of Public Relations and he moved on to asimilar capacity with Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania.  In 1966,Marvin was appointed Director of Public Relations for the Buffalo JewishFederation.Marv served as Director of Public Relations for the national United JewishAppeal (UJA), heading a staff of over 20 PR professionals involved withpublicity, marketing communications, audio-video, special events, fund-raising and image promotion.  At the time, UJA was the Number Onephilanthropic organization in the country in terms of dollars raised. Hehas been a frequent writer for the National Jewish & Opinion (weekly) for50 years.   In addition, he has written extensively for other Jewishnewspapers including Israel Today.He spent seven years after Boston University in public relations, marketingand promotion for non-profit agencies and institutions. Marv also didextensive marketing and public relations work as a consultant for hundredsof companies and organizations, professional sports enterprises, theHospital Review and Planning Council, trade associations and many others.But the entrepreneurial bug bit him and in August 1968 he decided to gointo business for himself.  Marvin bought a Snelling personnel agencyfranchise and moved to Dallas from Buffalo establishing his first officewhich was among the top Snelling offices in the country.  He proceeded toopen and own four successful Snelling offices in the Metroplex.Concurrently, he had an extensive public relations and marketing practice;also did part-time PR teaching.  Marv also conducted numerous businessevaluations.In 1971 he founded Nationwide Franchise Marketing Services which rapidlybecame a leading consulting firm.  Nationwide Consultants was establishedfor specializing in franchise marketing/sales and allied franchisedevelopment.  Marv has served as an expert witness in numerous cases.He is a coach on personal achievement and has been a member of the AmericanSociety for Training & Development. He served as a professional baseballumpire.From 1997 to 2007, Marvin worked successfully in marketing, publicrelations and sales for Careington International, a major health carebenefits firm based in a Dallas suburb. He has been active in the Cousin's Club, aJewish-Arab-Christian organization striving for peace and greaterunderstanding in the Middle East, and the American Jewish Congress, a humanrights organization which looks out for minorities.  He was on theAJCongress (human rights), Southwestern Region Board and served as VP.Marv is publicity chairman for Temple Shalom's second annual salute toIsrael, working to combat BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions).Marvin headed the Center for Prejudice Reduction Board's Strategic PlanningCommittee.
