       The work experience entailed ensuring projects were constructed in accordance with
       contract agreement design, budget, and schedule. I was also reporting and sending
       reports to management on the pace of the work and problems that we were facing as the
       structural engineering team and revising contract drawings using AutoCAD



While there I was able contribute to do the following:

   Revised contracts drawings of reinforced concrete piles and tie back walls using AutoCAD
    2004

   Improved quality control by carrying out fortnightly laboratory testing of materials (tensile and
    cube testing of iron rods and concrete) used on site.

   Solved the premature precast concrete pile cracking problem during lifting via statics
    calculations.

   Proposed the use of galvanized steel rebar for reinforced concrete shoreline protector.

   Converted an existing building into AutoCAD drawings and presenting all elevations.

   Ensured masonry work was as specified and measuring centre to centre spacings between
    reinforcements and links.

   Supervised construction work on Construction of Apapa Dockyard Berths 1-3 and Oil Depot
    jetty.

   Ensured integrity of steel cages to be used and made sure work men adhere strictly to
    specifications.

   Trained laborers to carry out slump test on concrete that was mixed.

   Investigated internal flaws in piles with ultrasonic thickness detector.

   Timely submission of project progress reports and revising bills of quantities.

   Revising bill of quantities and estimating total amount of work done

   Ensured safety on the site by mandating that all contractors workers must be fully kitted with
    safety apparel.
