Employment History
FOR DHOFAR UNIVERSITY - SALALAH, OMAN
Joined the Dhofar University Foundation Program on 1st of October 2012 as an in- charge of English Language
Laboratory and was promoted as a faculty of English. Presently handling Level -2 and also assisting the Placement
Tests coordinator as well. Taught Legal English to the Evening Batch of F.P. and taught in CEC (Continuing
Education Centre) for two terms. A contributing member of the Exams Committee as well as Recreation
Committee. Taught English for Arabic students as their ESL. Presently teaching the UNLOCK Series of Cambridge
University Press, successfully.
FOR VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE - SUR, OMAN
Monitoring the implementation of Time Table and motivating the staff to teach to the standards of the trainees
as most of them are from rural background and study courses such as Carpentry, Construction, Mechanical,
Welding etc. The course is devised in such a manner to teach English to them on basic Social and Technical
English catering to the needs of their respective area of study. It is modeled on Teaching English for Specific
Purposes (ESP). Headway books are predominantly followed to teach General English and Technical Books are
designed by the respective teacher according to the needs of the specialization of the respective workshop.
Advanced technologies such as Computer generated Over-head projectors are used in every class to create a
visual effect and Audio equipment is also installed in every class to make the listening part of the language most
effective. Overall the teaching becomes very interesting as the student participation is given primary
importance.
Evaluate the performance of the teaching staff and submit reports to the Ministry of Manpower through the
higher authorities.
Plan and execute the smooth running of the Department through the conduct of Staff Meeting and constant
contact with the Curriculum Specialist.
