Research

Science/Math Vocabulary - I have researched dictionaries for bilingual
students in
the content areas. I did not find any publishing company that published
dictionaries for bilingual students by grade level. As a former bilingual
teacher I felt that a dictionary by grade level in the content areas would
be very helpful and beneficial to the teachers as well as the students. I
have put together bilingual dictionaries (Spanish/English) in science and
math by grade level in grades 2 - 5.

Criterion Reference Test - The Criterion Reference Test has been designed
as a diagnostic and placement instrument for ELL. There are four sections
to the test: Beginning Level I, Beginning Level II, Intermediate I, and
Intermediate II. A diagnostic tool, the test answer sheet provides a
profile of which structures the students knows and those in which he/she
needs instruction. The data regarding each student's test results can be
transferred to the class matrix which will be helpful to the teacher in
curriculum planning and individualized instruction and review.
