Supervisory role on Delineation Drilling Projects (Surmont Lease)
Managing approx. $40-100MM winter season drilling project, including but not limited to delineation wells, cored wells, observation wells, water source, water disposal wells, and high profile work overs.
Delineation drilling team in the office consist of combination of drilling engineers, drilling superintendents, drilling technician, and technical consultants; on the other hand the daily head count of the winter drilling project is estimated at 530-550 men, mostly contractors working on the different aspects of the winter project.

8 Months assignment (2006-2007) to WEO   WCG with the main role of assisting WEO on managing about 22 Drilling Rigs with Long Term Agreements (following the ConocoPhillips & Burlington integration & CPC budget cuts). Other roles included organizing the ongoing drilling & completion cost reduction efforts, WCG drilling rig market checks, active participation on the America s bid for Drilling Fluids,
Planning & Set-Up Role on Delineation Projects (Saleski & Thornbury 2007). Key planning achievements were: Good Thermal Cement blend selection, zero water flows, and zero gas migration problems. Other success histories include the successful casing design for the Grossmont (karsting) wells and the C&A / D&A casing design strategy.
Planning & Execution Role on the Phase1B SAGD Project in Surmont (2007-2008). The project was completed within budget and schedule with important lessons learned captured for future projects. The HSE&SD performance was remarkable with zero recordable safety, environmental, or stakeholder s incidents to report. Other responsibilities included set-up and management of multi-network JV business, and implementation of new technologies such as Steam Distribution (Equalizer) tools, new Cementing Practices, and Flexible Thermal blends.

Planning role on the Phase2 SAGD Project (2009). The main responsibility was to prepare AFE quality drilling cost estimates in support of this world class size project (close to 1 billion Canadian dollars only the drilling & completion portion of the project).
International Rotational Assignment in MENA (2010-2011) as Sr. Drilling Engineer assigned to Hassi Messaoud-Algeria.

2004   2005 DRILLING SUPERINTENDENT. CONOCOPHILLIPS VENEZUELA. GULF OF PARIA S PHASE II EXPLORATORY AND PHASE 1A DEVELOPMENT DRILLING PROJECTS.
Supervisory role. Expatriates and local employees were reporting to the position.
Led MDT execution team on planning, drilling & testing: Delfin-1X, Tiburon-1X, and Punta-Sur 2X exploratory wells.
Drilling campaign was successfully executed on close vicinity to national park (mangroves), with zero spills, zero pollution, and zero LWCR/IADC (Lost Workday Case Rate).
Complete invoicing, contract administration and internal and external communications accountability. DIMS, and MAXIMO systems resource. Some exposure to SAP   Materials module.
Contract Negotiating of several drilling contracts, such as: Drilling & Measurements (D&M), Drilling Mud Services, Casing Running Services, and Marine Vessels.

1997 - 2003 Sr. DRILLING ENGINEER. CONOCOPHILLIPS VENEZUELA. GULF OF PARIA PHASE I EXPLORATORY & COROCORO APPRAISAL DRILLING CAMPAIGNS.
Well Planning Responsibilities: Offset wells analysis, casing design, pore pressure and mud weight planning, directional drilling planning, BHA design, bit selection, drilling program preparation. Budget, and AFE preparation. Presentations to management, labor communities, contractors, project partners, regulatory entities. Contracting team member (SOW tender preparation, prequalification processes, Technical analysis). Part of the MDT team who implemented (first time ever) barge on barge drilling concept in the Gulf of Paria and by doing so saving $500K and increasing national content.
