Caliper - A CorTech Company has an immediate opening in Richmond, VA for a Technical Lead (Senior Desktop Support Analyst)

Contractor Role: Sr. Network Engineer
Duration of assignment: 1 year
40 hour work week

Duties/Responsibilities

802.1X and management applications like Cisco ISE
Managing and Setting up Firewalls including Palo Alto, ASA, SRX
Experience with IPAM solutions (Infoblox, Solarwinds, and others)
Experience with configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Cisco network equipment
Experience with NetScaler or other Load Balancers
Experience with BGP
Experience with Software Defined Networking applications like Cisco DNA Center
Experience with managing a Cisco Wireless Controller based environment

Knowledge/Skill Requirement

CCNA (in R/S, SP, Data Center or Security) or JNCIA are desired
Extensive experience in designing, deploying, managing and monitoring Firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX,
VMware NSX Edge Gateway & distributed firewall, Palo Alto in an enterprise setting.
Preferred applicants will also have experience with intrusion detection systems, VPN technologies, vulnerability
assessment tools, event and log analysis solutions, configuration and change management and other network
security systems and devices.
Solid experience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switched infrastructure. Experience with packet
capture and analysis methodologies.
Network components and concepts such as:
Routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls and other L2-L3 networking and L4-L7 services components and
technologies from a variety of vendors
Virtual networking components such as NSX Edge Appliances, distributed firewall, distributed logical router,
distributed and standard virtual switches, Nexus 1000V, CSR 1000v and ASA 1000v
Experience in protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VXLAN, IPsec, IP Subnetting and other network design topics
10+ years of customer facing experience
Strong virtualization/networking troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of various Operating System types
Works well with teams as well as individually
Working knowledge of load-balancing, firewalling, and micro-segmentation
Automation scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript or other
Able to mentor other engineers


Salary $75.00 - $100.00/hr
