Head of Technical

Are you natural leader looking for a new challenge in the creative and design industry? We're working with a company who design, build some unique large and small scale temporary installations.

They have a exceptional team of designers and builders who make their clients ideas come to life, utilising their own workshop, mplete 360 of any project.

As they continually grow year upon year, and the increase in demand grows, they are now looking for a Head of Technical to join them in their journey.

Primary Duties:

Interpreting creative visualisations with due consideration to both safety and the final aesthetic
Material selection, allocation and ordering for project
Technical drawings and specification in AutoCad and SketchUp
Specifying rigging equipment required for installation and all lifting operations
Writing and producing concise installation guides and lifting plans
Writing Risk Assessments and Safe Methods of Work
Ability to develop budgets, cost estimations and insights into spending trends during the project process
Attending overnight installations of projects when required and managing the site team
Working with existing Senior PMs and managing Junior/ Mid-weight PMs
Running work schedules for the Technical Dept and prioritising accordingly
Provide training and advice to new/less experienced team membersSkills, Qualifications & Experience:

Technical understanding of design and build processes
Experience using AutoCAD/Sketchup
Working knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and HASAWA is beneficial
Confident in either Carpentry/Metalwork/Rigging is beneficial
