Poling Supervisor (Wood Poles)
32,000 to 40,000 subject to experience, with generous enhancements
Basingstoke, covering Hampshire & Berkshire

Working on a prestigious Utility contract, we have immediate requirements for a Supervisor to oversee Poling Operatives and HGV Drivers across the SSE footprint in Berkshire and Hampshire.

Excellent bonuses are in place for meeting the contract build requirements.

Based out of Basingstoke, our requirement for the Supervisor will be to oversee Utility Poling Teams who will be working on:

- Poling utilities across the region
- Connecting new or replacing existing wood pole infrastructure
- Business and household connections
- Performing risk assessment and hazard identification
- Ensuring excellent Health and Safety practice

To perform in this role you will have:

- Previous experience of the installation and removal of Poles on the Utility network, either BT / Openreach or SSE
- Experience in ensuring work is compliant to local authority, highways and client requirements, and ensuring defects are corrected in the most safe and efficient manner.
- NRSWA Operative or Supervisor (or have held these in the past and willing to re-obtain).
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Strong appreciation of the safety requirements of work in the highway.
- Excellent client and stakeholder interface experience (Client, Customer, Planning, Internal, Workforce)
- Prior experience of work at height
- Fully checkable work history and references
