ERP Business Analyst, SR - Finance
Direct Hire

Location: Brea, Ca - Remote for now due to covid, must be willing to work PST hours

Food manufacturer (mayo, salad dressings etc)

Some travel will be required for deployments

Immediate need; replacing someone who's moving to a different dept and would like some overlap for training

Team currently consist of 5 and will add one more (this role)

Microstrategy is a plus; similar tools are fine
Manufacturing industry background
Looking for someone hands-on, likes working with people, optimize processes, can work independently

Interview process will start with VP and Director, then go to individual panel

This position will have the responsibility for defining and gathering business requirements and supporting users within JD Edwards Finance Functional areas (Accounting, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules). Knowledge of other functional areas of JDE such as Distribution & Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing as it relates to Finance is preferred.  This individual leads a team that will include business users and consultants and is responsible for systems implementation initiatives by developing business specifications, organizing testing activities and managing the preparation of systems/operations documentation.  Contributes in system implementation tasks that include defining user requirements, developing functional specifications, developing detailed program design specifications, executing unit/string/system tests and developing user documentation and training. 



Work with business user and consultant teams to define, document, test and deliver business process requirements so expected results are attained from the JD Edwards software as installed. 




Maintain effective communication with assigned functional business areas, primarily Finace, to ensure that their information system’s needs are met.  Provide application support to business users. 




Assists in JDE ERP rollouts, supporting Finance capabilities.




Partners with the business community to identify opportunities for logical and procedural improvement beyond the ERP scope.  This could include process improvement, system selection, and strategic development for the Finance Organization.




Assists in resolving technical problem reports in the production environments.





• Bachelor's Degree in Business (or equivalent experience) and at least 7 years of ERP implementation experience with strengths in gathering business requirements, configuration, functional specification and testing
• Significant experience with ERP systems roll-outs, business process re-engineering, conducting user training and providing on-going ERP systems support
• Experience in CPG/Foodservice Manufacturing industry preferred 
• At least 5 years of JDE EnterpriseOne experience


• Comprehensive knowledge of the systems development life cycle, structured analysis and design techniques, user requirements definition, interviewing and data collection techniques PC-based packages used in development and/or support of production systems, conversion activities, testing methodologies, and implementation procedures
• Strong working knowledge of supply chain, order to cash, purchase to pay, manufacturing and/or financial processes with particalar emphasis on financial procesess and accounting procedures
• The ability to communicate well and demonstrate business knowledge both verbally and in writing, strong time and work management skills and the ability to resolve critical project issues
• Experience in project planning and control with strong planning and organizational skills
• Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.

• Thorough knowledge of and understanding business principles and business processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
• Ability to communicate and train business users on the capabilities and features of the JDE Financial Modules
• Ability to effectively work with the IT management team towards the common goals of the department
