Description

The Advanced Electrician will provide electrical support to the Science & Technology Facility in Granville, OH. This position will conduct preventative and repair maintenance on site electrical systems, support site projects, and perform other general facilities maintenance tasks.


The Granville Facility includes 22 buildings with world-class capabilities, situated on a campus of 524 acres.


The position reports to: Maintenance Supervisor


Responsibilities



Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.

Implement a personal safety action plan and review with leader
Work in a safe manner at all times utilizing the proper personal protective equipment


Perform preventative tasks and repair maintenance on site electrical systems (80%)

Conducts preventative and repairs maintenance on site and building substation, transformers,power distribution systems, lighting and other electrical systems
Install and troubleshoot simple to complex electrical control systems
Oversees work of electrical contractors in support of site projects
Access Work Request System and complete electrical related work requests
Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Follow up with internal customers on open work request status
Exterior and Interior Lighting installation and maintenance
Coordinate and complete medium voltage breaker testing and repairs
Safely operate a bucket truck
Coordinate power shutdowns for building maintenance and new equipment installation
Other general facilities maintenance as directed by your leader


Perform other general facilities maintenance tasks (20%)

Perform various other facilities maintenance and site operations tasks in support of on-going site projects
Be an engaged and contributing member of the Site Operations Team, including attending team meetings and assisting other technicians as necessary


Job Requirements



Experience:

Minimum of 10 years experience in 14KV troubleshooting and install
Minimum of 10 years experience in industrial electrical field
Formal Training and apprenticeship in electrical trades. Journeyman certification is required.
Experience with troubleshooting and install of simple to complex electrical controls
Some experience in Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred Skills:

Substation entry certified.
