POSITION DUTIES: The Sustainability and Standards Program Manager for the system serves two functions. This position will develop and lead a comprehensive sustainability program at Sutter Health. This includes general environmental initiatives, sustainable product procurement, waste reduction; toxicity reduction; energy and water conservation; greenhouse gas emissions reduction; healthy food programs; environmentally responsible facility design, construction, and operation; and employee engagement.

Education Requirement: Masterís degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Sustainability, Electrical, Electronics engineer or a closely-related field of concentration.

Experience Requirement: 3 years of experience in job offered or Mechanical engineer, Energy/Sustainability/Utilities Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer - related occupation.
Alternate Education and Experience Requirement: Bachelorís degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Sustainability, Electrical, Electronics engineer or a closely-related field of concentration plus 5 yearsí post baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered or Mechanical engineer, Energy/Sustainability/Utilities Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer - related occupation.

Specific Requirements: Employer will accept Masterís degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Sustainability, Electrical, Electronics engineer or a closely-related field of concentration plus 3 years of experience in job offered or Mechanical engineer, Energy/Sustainability/Utilities Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer - related occupation In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelorís degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Sustainability, Electrical, Electronics engineer or a closely-related field of concentration plus 5 yearsí post baccalaureate progressive experience in job offered or Mechanical engineer, Energy/Sustainability/Utilities Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer - related occupation.

Education or Experience must include:
1) Local, regional and national emerging sustainable business strategies that includes: implementation of ISO 50001, Superior Energy Performance Management practice developed by Department of Energy (DOE).
2) The Energy Management and Sustainability principles using Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) methodology.
3) Establishing baseline Energy use and measuring Energy performance using statistical tools that use regression models.
4) Life cycle assessments (LCA)
5) Return of investment (ROI) analysis.
6) Knowledge of Superior Energy Performance protocol, ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard to establish Energy/Sustainability Standards.
7) Development and execution of monitoring based commissioning (MBCx) plans for building HVAC systems.
8) HVAC system design, duct work layout, preparation of mechanical schedule, specification of HVAC systems, mechanical and piping layout of industrial plants.
9) Data acquisition, data analysis, and data interpretation from the experiments.
