Job Duties: Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. Directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites within commuting distance of Slalomís McLean, VA office.

Collaborate with business stakeholders and analyze user requirements, leveraging engineering principles gained through a bachelorís degree in computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or electronic engineering. Create interactive dashboards and visualizations leveraging Tableau, Qlik, Microsoft BI and/or Spotfire. Build required data extracts required for solutions. Maintain technical project files. Implement or test design solutions. Architect, design, and develop ETL, data warehouse and business intelligence systems. Create functional and technical documentation related to Business Intelligence solutions. Create batch and streaming data pipelines using software such as Spark, Flink, or Kafka. Deliver transformative solutions to clients that are aligned to industry best practices. Utilize knowledge/experience in the oil and gas space.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelorís degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a data integration/analyst-related occupation. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites within commuting distance of Slalomís McLean, VA office.

Special Requirements:
Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:
1. Design and develop visualization solutions, incorporating complex slice and dice functionality by adding key measures and dimensions, to give a deeper drilled down view of data to business users to monitor operations and support decision making.
2. Provide decision support to business users and cross-functional teams that addresses business issues.
3. Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders.
4. Architect, design and develop ETL scripts on batch data pipelines to build data extracts required for business intelligence solutions using SQL.

Position also requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:
5. Provide analytical and data support to upstream oil & gas project control managers by utilizing cost engineering concepts.
6. Perform analysis using Tableau and R/Python programming language to identify and interpret trends to provide insight to decision-makers.
7. Gather functional business requirements and translate these to technical requirements to design and implement a data model.
8. Perform functional tests on business intelligence solutions.
