Job Description:

Being a member of the Enterprise Automation Team, you will be responsible for serving as lead liaison between Operations business groups and IT (ADM and Infrastructure), serve as technical consultants and as developers of the more sophisticated automation development projects.
Incumbents also evaluate, recommend, and build Microsoft Access solutions using VBA and SQL Server database objects including stored procedures, schemas, triggers, and tables.
Incumbents coordinate Automation project teams and deliver training to staff and solution users.
Incumbents build and maintain PowerBI reports, Perl scripts and Python scripts, setup and maintain three Windows servers and use Monarch Pro, DOS batch scripts and Visual Basic scripts to extract data from text files.
Incumbents use Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) to connect Access databases to SQL Server back-end tables.
Incumbents systemically build PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and emails.
Incumbents write technical documentation and user guides and present ideas and solutions to senior management.
Responsibilities:

Develops and solves problems automated solutions (e.g., SQL, MS Access databases, Python, Batch Scripts, Windows Server configurations/load balancing) that facilitate preparation and presentation of business metrics related to divisional benchmarks and the Balanced Business Scorecard.
Uses VBA to create MS Access user interfaces, output files to SharePoint, send emails and communicate with mainframe emulators such as Attachmate and Blue Zone.
Create SQL schemas, tables, stored procedures and triggers to serve as a back-end to the MS Access databases.
Modify, test and solve solutions developed by others.
Document business requirements, user guides and functional specifications for new and modified solutions.
Mentor junior developers on coding and solution development and train end-users on solution use.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred with master’s or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications:

6+ years of experience in MS Access end-user database development, including business system analysis, and hands-on technical development using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
6+ years of experience in SQL Server development and maintenance.
6+ years of experience in Python development preferred.
6+ years of experience in financial services preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead work teams and accomplish goals within defined time, resource, and budgetary parameters.
Exemplifies leadership characteristics in support of DTCC corporate objectives
Demonstrates highly developed proficiencies in project, process and quality management, project estimation, issue management, and communication - with special emphasis on conceptual solution development, functional analysis and design, and testing.
