Job Title: Green Plum Admin / Big Data Architect Location: Jessup PA Duration: 1 year Job Description: Good Experience as Greenplum Admin Experience in Greenplum database maintenance & Management Hands on Experience with Greenplum deployments like DCAs, private cloud / hosted large scale clusters Perform GP environment architecture and design network/cluster layout for the EDW Monitor data distribution to identify data skew, also Monitor vacuum and analyze needed on objects Resource queue design for multitenant workload prioritizing Manage segments, recover segments during segment crash Manage GP backup and recovery using backup clients / data domain systems. Should have strong knowledge on data migration across DCAs Perform POCs on various Bigdata processing methodologies Excellent performance and troubleshooting skill Manage database and client host connectivity for various data sources Proficient with data loading techniques - JDBC, ODBC, parallel data loading etc. Experience on using GPCC and WLM, and its upgrade Excellent shell and SQL skill for DBA tasks automation Excellent skill to retrieve, understand and analyze the Greenplum logs Hands on Experience in data warehouse design, physical data modelling, best practices.
