Consultant Ecologist - Guildford
My client is a UK-based, independent environmental consultancy, that has a variety of specialist teams that advise clients across a range of sectors. Since they were founded in the early 2000s, they have grown to become a well-known name throughout the UK Ecology sector and are able to provide their services from 4 UK offices. They are currently looking for a well-rounded Ecological Consultant in Guildford, who would be interested in exploring a new opportunity.
To be successful in this role you should have:
A degree or postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in an ecological or related subject; Relevant and proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a commercial consultancy; Advanced field skills; Ideally at least one protected species license; In-depth knowledge of ecology, legislation, and survey techniques; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Be able to produce technical reports as well as communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders; A full UK driving license and have use of a car; Full membership of CIEEM (or to have eligibility if not currently held)
During your time at this role, you will gain an equal experience of working on-site and in an office environment. If you are successful in your application to this opportunity you will be mentoring and supervising junior staff, leading a field team of ecologists, helping to prepare tenders and quotes, undertaking ecological surveys and mitigation, and also producing high-quality reports for clients on time and to budget.
