Software Tester required to create / design software for Eastern Ontario medical device company. You will be doing test case design, hands-on testing, V&V (verification and validation) documentation. This position is on site in Eastern ON and relocation is provided.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design / create Test Cases and Plans, Protocols and Reports for new and existing software components.
Write V&V documentation, meeting SDLC process requirements.
ID and document software issues.
Carry out hands-on software testing of components and products.
Coordinate software V&V activities in collaboration with other team members.
Work with Biology, Engineering, Service, and other teams re product design and improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:

BS or Diploma (computer science, software engineering, related).
3 to 5 years' hands-on software testing background, including designing test cases, plans, protocols, reports.
Deep understanding of software V&V principles and best practices, and background creating V&V documentation.
Risk identification, analysis and mitigation.
V design model familiarity.
Medical device industry standards familiarity (or background in other regulated environment - e.g. banking, avionics, gambling).
MS SQL Server database, MS Azure Server.
Asset: Background testing (medical device) products requiring software - hardware communication via USB and COM ports (e.g. CANbus).
Team player with excellent oral and written English communication skills.
Legally able to work in Canada.
