JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Circleville, Ohio site is one of two primary manufacturing locations for the production of Tedlar® polyvinyl fluoride film as part of the Mobility and Materials business unit within DuPont.
The Tedlar® facilities at Circleville consist of film casting and numerous converting operations such as surface treatment and roll slitting.
The position supervises the Tedlar® Manufacturing Technology (MT) organization.
This group of multi-disciplined engineers delivers the technology and process capability needed to safely and reliably produce high quality Tedlar® film.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives PSM programs and systems to ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
Works closely with business and site manufacturing teams to define improvement goals (safety, asset productivity and quality) and leads technical resources to meet these objectives.
Responsible for the development of technical resources and the building of the capabilities needed to support the safe and efficient operation of plant.
Coordinates leveraging of manufacturing technology resources to improve effectiveness.
Interfaces with key business leaders to resolve issues and reconcile priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical BS degree
5+ years previous manufacturing experience
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and chemical processes and methodologies applicable to a manufacturing operation.
Strong interpersonal skills to both network and to be an effective team leader.
Solid demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to motivate others to achieve results.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and a high volume workload with shifting and competing priorities.
Strong teamwork and organization skills.
Understanding of Six Sigma methodology
Experience with Process Safety Management
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in technical and/or manufacturing support
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified
High Performance Work Systems experience a plus
Previous film manufacturing experience
