Position Summary:

Lead Automation Engineer is responsible for design, development and maintenance of automated tests. Proficiency and expertise in Core Java is a must with expertise in Selenium and Java Script. He/she should be able to write automated tests that validate the application functionality. Should possess excellent verbal, written and analytical skills, able to interact with application development teams, business analysts/SME, business users and project managers to understand requirements and communicate status.

Principal Responsibilities:

Design and develop end-to-end automated tests in Core Java, JS, Selenium to validate system functionality
Design and develop automated tests for microservices testing
Design and develop automated component tests to validate individual component functionality
Provide automation expertise to project team and troubleshoot automation issues
Automation source code management using BitBucket
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipeline
Manage automation activities and provide status to stakeholders
Interact with users, business analysts, application development teams to understand business/technical requirements and system design.
Develop functional and technical expertise for the systemsapplications under test
Contribute to overall automation framework design and enhancement
Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of Core Java development experience (Java, Core Java, JE22, JSP, Servlet, JDBC, Angular.JS)
Expertise in Selenium Java
Expertise in Java with OOP & Data Structure understanding
Experience in microservices testing to validate system functionality
Experience in automating component test to validate component functionality
Provide automated testing expertise to project team, troubleshoot automation issues
Manage automation activities and provide testing status to stakeholders
Integrate automated test with CI/CD pipeline
Strong API automation expertise using Rest Assured
Strong skills of the following:
Selenium
TestNG framework
Maven - Experience in build tools such as Maven, adding dependencies and maintaining pom.xml file
Git
Bitbucket
Jenkins
SQL queries
Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEs
Experience in Test Driven Development, and/or test automation for DevOps
Experience with at least one RDBMSORDBMS such as Oracle, Sybase, Postgres
Experience of testing in AWS environment
