It is essential for the MM & Purchasing Process Engineer to possess: Thorough knowledge of the Purchasing and Material master management module Understanding of MM & Purchasing vendor control/sourcing processes In-depth experience in configuring Vendor Source List Experience with use of supplier validity dates in via other solutions Experience with Material class/characteristic use (001) Experience with Vendor class/characteristic use (010) Experience with a highly configured variant configuration system (300) Background in the use of various solutions related to vendor approval Experience with SAP vendor quality/validity solutions Experience in configuring and managing MENA validation process Experience on purchasing (MRP) interfaces within SAP. Knowledge on third party tools as it relates to quality management and ongoing vendor approval status Sound knowledge of SAP Procurement solutions Be able to effectively communicate solution outline Excellent oral and written communication skills Understanding of ABAP Ability to evaluate third party tools Ability to communicate technical and non-technical material to others Ability to work in highly customized SAP environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 10 years related technical experience and/or training Experience in metals industry is a plus
