This position is for the
Data Intelligence & Analytics Engineer Sr. Specialist
who will support, maintain, and develop the business-critical PI Data Analytics Systems (PDAS) to ensure they meet the business data analytics needs and requirements across the campus and Biologics network. The systems provide validated real-time data interfacing, historization, analytics functionality, visualization, data engineering, and notification capabilities. The Ideal candidate will effectively collaborate within the DIA Global Biologics team along with end user teams to understand requirements, to communicate status with site functions, and conduct necessary support, change, testing and implementation activities.

This role will routinely engage with cross-functional teams in the BMS network to provide support and build innovative solutions within the framework of BMS PDAS Site and Enterprise standards. Business areas of focus include Biologics manufacturing operations, process development operations, batch release activities, and process performance functions.

The role is accountable to implement designs, maintain the system to ensure High Availability, and to execute changes, upgrades, and incident management in compliance with all GMP procedures and requirements.

Configuration Item Owner of the PI Data Analytics Systems (PDAS)
Responsible to provide 24x7 support along with the Global Biologics DIA team for the business critical PDAS applications to ensure 100% availability of critical data
Responsible to administer, troubleshoot, install, configure, and monitor PDAS, interfaces, and tools to ensure high-availability and per SLA using ServiceNow ITSM.
Responsible for the integration of PDAS with manufacturing or lab instruments, enterprise systems, real-time scheduling systems, process Control systems, MES systems, IIOT devices, and the wider Data Analytics technology stack.
Responsible for the creation, review, and approval of deliverables such as design documents, configuration builds, installation, and validation activities as required
Responsible for the timely execution of all SOP driven PDAS administration activities
Contribute to a high-performance culture by proactively recognizing and resolving system issues before they arise.
Maintain the PDAS in a cyber-safe audit ready state at all times.
Responsible to install, configure, and maintain the lifecycle of the PDAS product suite following vendor documentation, Site and Enterprise PDAS designs
Responsible for developing collaborative partnerships within Digital Plant, the Site Analytics Model team, Business Insights & Analytics and Enterprise PDAS teams, MS&T as well as End User groups to develop and support PDAS based analytics tools
Develop innovative Analytics solutions by leveraging PDAS capabilities including PI Vision, Asset Framework (AF), AF Analysis, Event Frames, and Notifications
Implement Continuous Improvement ideas to improve DIA team productivity
Maintain system training documentation curriculum and execute on training plans for End Users and Administrators.
Promote the use of PDAS to support the achievement of site business goals including awareness and training on tools and techniques across the site and network

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering discipline preferred.
Working knowledge of S88 and S95 standards in relation to process automation and manufacturing execution
1+ year of work experience in current good manufacturing practice biopharmaceutical production setting (process development and/or manufacturing technical support).
2+ years of system administration and/or support experience with strong customer relationship management skills
Excellent problem-solving, presentation, verbal, and written communications skills
Knowledge of the following software: DeltaV, Emerson Syncade, SAP, Maximo, LIMs, Discoverant, BioG, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft IIS, Powershell highly desired
Knowledge of the underlying scientific principles applied to the development and manufacture of biopharmaceuticals.
Working experience with Microsoft Windows Platform in a domain environment, technical knowledge of network configuration, and TCP/IP understanding desired
Experience with SQL, and Microsoft SQL server database administration desired
Ability to learn additional programming language such as Python, R, C# a plus
Knowledge of software engineering practices: Source Control, Agile Methodology, Front-end or full-stack web development a plus
