We are looking for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the planning, forecasting and analysis functions of the finance team. The Director of FP&A will have a highly visible role across the organization while leading a small team (one manager and one analyst). This is a new position in the G&A organization and will report to the Chief Financial Officer.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor and review the month-end accounting close process to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
  • Manage, monitor and review all functions for cash, subscription billings and AR, purchase orders and AP, Inventory, fixed assets, revenue and deferred revenue, retail liabilities and debt with detailed account reconciliations performed monthly for key balance sheet items
  • Compile the consolidated business results, including a subsidiary in Bangalore, India. Interact regularly with the accounting manager in the Quicken India subsidiary
  • Prepare monthly management reports and lead a monthly finance metrics review with senior management
  • Serve as Administrator in NetSuite and other related accounting software (e.g, (link removed), FloQast, Divvy, ContractWorks)
  • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls as the company grows and explores the possibility of going public.
  • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting to management, investors and lenders
  • Coordinate with auditors for the year-end financial statement review (Grant Thornton)
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual tax return with a third-party preparer (Deloitte)
  • Communicate with co-workers in a professional manner consistent with our Corporate Values
  • Provide training, assistance and leadership to current and/or new staff accountants
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or accounting and 10-plus years of relevant experience in a corporate accounting environment
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Past experience at a publicly traded company preferred.
  • Must have proven experience directing, managing, and growing a team
  • Public accounting experience and/or audit experience highly recommended
  • Knowledge of GAAP required, and experience in consolidated financial reporting desired, including foreign currency
  • Good financial reporting technical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Past experience with NetSuite, (link removed) and Adaptive Insights preferred
  • Subscription-based consumer software experience preferred
