Description: The assembler will have the responsibility for the assembly processes in a Switchgear manufacturing environment. She/he will be accountable to read & understand mechanical diagrams, cut sheets, and Bill of Materials to perform all assembly activities in the assigned job by the lead or supervisor. The assembler will be part of a multi-functional production team focused on Switchgear and transfer switches assembly; reporting directly to the production supervisor and coordinated through the Assembly lead. Ability to work in a team on complex tasks and get the tasks completed in a timely manner. Ability to read and understand mechanical diagrams, cut sheets and BOMs provided. Assemble framework and build cubes. Build copper bus work with proper tools provided to you. Detail oriented to ensure proper assembly work is done in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Ability to work daily/weekend overtime as required to meet shop demands. Knowledge of safe working practices
