The Lead Receiving position is responsible for but not limited to leadership of hourly associates, including problem solving, coaching, training and directing the Receiving team. Also, responsible for coordinating and tracking all inbound shipments, maintaining raw ingredients and packaging material inventory, coordinating receiving functions, unloading and inspecting ingredients received in a timely manner, observing all safety regulations and ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met ensuring facility maintenance through good housekeeping practices. Taking ownership of equipment and work area, which may include preventative maintenance.
Base Rate: $20.31 Rate with attendance Bonus: $21.01
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times, required overtime for position, and weekends
Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
Ability to drive forklifts including stand-up, sit down, tandem, and rider
Ability to work in an extreme cold and hot environment
Excellent attention to detail, high level of organizational skills.
Ability to lead hourly associates in day to day activities
Problem Solving
Coaching and training
Learn and teach CPS systems
Proficient knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
Knowledge of warehouse management system i.e. SAP, and ability to learn and lead CPS and other proprietary systems of Conagra Brands
Ability to move up to 75 lbs
Job Duties
:
Prioritize workload and staff accordingly
Provide guidance to Receiving team and ensure safety regulations, procedures and quality standards are being met
Monitor Receiving schedule and work with associates to handle issues, inspect trailers and containers as required
Assist with quality holds and releases, damaged and non-conforming product
Ensure all Receiving documentation is properly completed and the SOPs are being followed
Oversee the Inspection and unloading of trailers
Accurately count and inspect received inventory tagging damaged cases as necessary
Adhering to 5S standards
Conduct daily DDS meeting and daily safety talks
OPL and SOP creation
New hires training and validation
Conducting associate required training (e.g., CPS, Alchemy, etc.)
May perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
:
Knowledge of forklift safety and troubleshooting
Ability to understand the affects of product damage
Ability to solve problems independently
Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team at all levels
Knowledge of GMPs
Ability to be PIT Certified
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience: Minimum 6 months powered industrial equipment experience preferred. Previous lead experience preferred.
