The Surgical Tech assists the Surgeon and clinical team during operative and invasive procedures; assures the operating suite is adequately prepared for the procedure; monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies; cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments; assists in room turnovers and participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Requirements: Successful completion of a Surgical Tech program from an accredited college or technical school. Must maintain a Surgical Tech certification issued by the WA Department of Health. National Certification issued by the Association of Surgical Technologists encouraged. Must maintain current BLS certification. Department Quick Details: 4 OR's and 1 Endo Everything but vascular, hearts and neuro About 6,000 cases per year Shift Details: (4)10 hour days (0700-1730) Call 4 to 6 shifts a month one being a weekend day. Call off/Flexing There will be up to 36 hours of flexing or call off available to the facility during the course of the assignment. Additional open shifts can be scheduled by request of the traveler. Floating When needed, the traveler will float to any areas of the facility where skills can be utilized prior to flex off. Unit orientation and just in time training will be offered prior to the first assignment.
