A management group in Maryland is seeking a General Surgery Physician to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.

Assignment:

Dates: Thursday's ongoing - could potentially do long weekend call coverage Thursday-Sunday/Monday morning

Schedule: 24-hour shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

Setting: Inpatient

Call: Strictly call

Volume: Low Daily Census

Patient Ages: Adult Patient Population

Procedures: Most commonly seen: Hernia Repair Cholecystectomy Appendectomy Endoscopy Splenectomy Thyroidectomies Colostomy PD Catheter Colectomy Rectal Prolapse PEG/J Tube Insertion Port Insertion and Removal

Cases: Hernia Repair Cholecystectomy Appendectomy Endoscopy Splenectomy Thyroidectomies Colostomy PD Catheter Colectomy Rectal Prolapse PEG/J Tube Insertion Port Insertion and Removal

Support Staff: 2 Nocturnal surgical PA's, first assists, 3 surgical PA's in the practice, and 2 employed surgeons, and additional PRN and non-employed surgeons

EMR/Charting: Cerner, Powerchart

Requirements:

Boards: Board Certified

Certifications: BLS; DEA
