MissionofRole: To design and develop aircraft avionics and electrical systemsLocation:Vacaville, CAReportsto:Director, EngineeringPrimary Areas of Responsibilities:Design aircraft electrical system schematics, wire harness and installation drawingsIntegrate avionics and electrical components for the A5 and future aircraftManage electrical system projects with suppliers. Ensure technical requirements and schedules are metSupport MRB team with NCR dispositionSupport Production team with aircraft installation and testing of electrical system componentsSupport Customer Service team with troubleshooting and providing technical guidanceWork closely with R&D and Flight Sciences team to install and test new designsPerform calculations and studies for electrical power systems load analysis, voltage drop, and wire sizingRequirementsSuccess Indicators:Release of high-quality designs2. Meets schedule milestones3. Positive feedback from coworkers and suppliers4. Has effectively been a team player and contributed to the development of the A5 in meaningful wayPreferred Experience & Education:B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering2+ years designing and integrating aircraft electrical systems and avionicsExperience with production aircraft wire harness and avionics installation and routingExperience with new product development and product life cycle from concept to productionHands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting wire harnesses and electrical components, working closely with techniciansElectrical load analysis and failure mode analysis experienceFamiliar with test equipment used for electrical testing such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and signal generatorsIdeal Experience:5+ years designing aircraft electrical systemsExperience with Creo and Creo SchematicsAbility to design low-to-medium complexity digital circuitryExperience creating technical requirement documents, test plans, and compliance reportsSoftware experience such as Visual Basic and C++Startup experience
