Qualifications:
Lab Tech Education required: High School diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred with 1-2yrs industry/work experience.
2 years within the pharmaceutical industry a plus.
Able to demonstrate moderate level of mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities required.
Appropriate GMP gowning required in order executing aseptic tasks.
Ability to demonstrate a solid safety mindset.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
Reliability within the work environment is a must.
Able to receive constructive coaching & feedback.
Ability to follow instructions is required (previous SOP experience, etc. preferred).
Candidate must be flexible to accommodate departmental needs and work-flow (i.e. working in various areas depending on need).
Ability to thrive within a diverse work environment.
Must be familiar with cleaning, working with chemicals, and able to wear appropriate PPE for the role.
Prior military experience/veterans welcome.
Responsibilities:
Laboratory Technician may work with a variety of technical equipment while completing formulation, filling, and freeze-drying operations.
At all times technicians must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies, perform duties assigned by department supervision.
Some of the duties may include, but are not limited to:
Perform procedures including aseptic work, filling vaccines, formulations, and freeze-drying activities
Maintain accurate and reliable record keeping including charts, log books, process documentation, and all pertinent GMP data as required
Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences or safety issues when performing tasks
Cleaning work areas, prepare, clean and sterilize materials and equipment for use
Equipment setup and operation.
Hazardous materials: Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, Phenolic Disinfectants, and Oxidizers.
The Filling and Freeze-Drying lab operates 5 x 8 hr days/week (M-F) with nights and weekends when necessary.
Filling and Freeze-Drying shift time start/end is 6:00am to 2:30pm or 7:30am to 4:00pm M-F.
