Job Description for Facilities contracted Digital Archivist
We're looking for an expert "archivist" who understands facilities plans, blueprints and related project documents in order to:
- Increase ability to locate previous document revisions
- Reduce the amount of paper copies that exist
- Organize documents into a more user-friendly format
- The successful candidate will be able to review, sort, categorize & catalog all types of facilities documentation (electronic, paper or other media) into a logical, easy to use e-file format, within the corporate electronic filing systems and develop processes that can be utilized after this project is completed.
- Also, this person will be responsible to migrate our current electronic drawings from a standard network file structure to a pre-existing drawing management system.
Must be able to:
- Work alone with minimal direction, be part of and/or lead departmental teams
- Prepare documents for systematic scanning (paper & electronic)
- Develop/prepare training guides and job aids to assist users in the use of various systems
- Train all levels and types of users.
- Familiarity with Adobe products, Auto Cad, Fusion, FileNet, SharePoint and MS Office products a must.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Experience with facilities or construction drawings would be preferred.
