Lead Specialist - Actuarial

What can you expect?
The role would be responsible for working with the analysts and on-shore consulting teams to deliver an excellent and consistent experience for all our clients through detailed checking and channels of communication. This role should stimulate analysts to be independent and establish trust among subordinates and hierarchy alike.

In this role, one should be able to take ownership of projects and organized tasks and feel confident in making their own decisions and executing plans.
Incumbent should also be capable of working without close supervision and thriving in an autonomous working environment.
The applicant is expected to be diligent and responsible adequately to pull more out of the scope and put in the effort to contribute to other spheres as well.

Check all work thoroughly so that rework is minimized and quality standards are met
Monitor progress of analysts to ensure that timelines are met
Effectively manage the projects
Provide regular feedback to analysts and groom them to be competent and independent
Active participation in knowledge sharing / training / process improvement initiatives and
participate in testing of new tools / processes and roll outs
Note: Applicants should be flexible working in shifts

What you need to have:


Graduation with Mathematics / Statistics / Actuarial Science or any subject with sizeable mathematical content
5-10 years of actuarial and / or analytics experience
At least 2 actuarial exams passed / exempted from IFOA or IAI or SOA or other society recognized by IAA
Knowledge of Healthcare valuations and / or healthcare analytics and / or annuity /pension valuations with strong actuarial fundamentals
Working knowledge of actuarial valuation tools
Strong MS Excel, VBA, automation software (Python, R, SQL) and MS Word skills
Excellent communication and good coaching skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality, timely and consistent results
