We are looking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a Systems Administrator role.The Systems Administrator for Data and Technology Integration is responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of the digital learning platforms and timeclocks for the district by coordinating the effective operations, data uploads and system access of digital and physical resources to ensure access and stable operations for students, teachers, staff and district leaders. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: in Networking, computers or equivalent schooling, certification and/or experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology or equivalent preferred Special Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of digital ecosystems operations and maintenance protocols Experience as a systems operator for software and digital ecosystems Excellent understanding of uploads processes for instructional management systems Ability to collaborate with a variety of leaders and stakeholders for the successful administration and inter-operability of systems Working knowledge of authentication processes for digital platforms Deep understanding of infrastructure (including- user hardware) requirements for effective use of digital platforms across large organizations Highly knowledgeable of computer hardware, software applications, computer operating systems and network operating systems. In-depth knowledge of learning management systems Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of student privacy laws including FERPA Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment Ability to solve problems and handle situations diplomatically Has a customer focused manner, with respect for procedures, policies, and legal requirements Effectively manages the implementation of innovative ideas and services Experience: Experience as a system operator of digital platforms Implementing and managing a Single Sign-on solution Managing digital environments including hardware and software configurations on a variety of platforms MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Collaborates to support systems for effective digital systems deployments. Maintain the integrity of systems with fidelity and consistency. Maintain inventory of digital systems available, usage analytics and patterns. Manage and maintain identity management, including user and group accounts, group policy and accuracy of data. Coordinate with the appropriate stakeholders the maintenance of authentication user data based on new hires throughout the school year. Prepare data with fidelity and integrity and coordinate with external vendors the upload of data files in a timely manner Maintain the operations of academic digital platforms as the systems administrator. Provide administrative support for the districts learning management system Collaborate with academic, professional development and technology leaders to ensure that the acquisition of new digital platforms aligned with JISD infrastructure capabilities. Collaborate with technology leaders to ensure JISD computing hardware can support digital learning platforms. Troubleshoot user experience and operability and problem-solves to ensure platform accessibility. Collaborate with technology leaders to ensure software updates are run in a timely manner for the effective utilization of digital instructional platforms. Monitors performance of digital instructional platforms based on usage, infrastructure, and hardware capabilities. Collaborates with administrators, teachers, and other department members to determine current and future digital learning needs. Keeps abreast of developments and research in the field of educational technology, instructional best practices, and organizational development.
