Wages: $41.00/hr for 40 hours per week

Job Type: Full-Time, year-round work

Work Location: Surrey, BC

Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible

Job Description for the position of Diesel Mechanic at Kreedom Freight Services Ltd. is as:

• Inspect diesel trucks regularly so that they are in mint condition for regular hauls.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repair required.
• Ensure proper performance of the trucks by implementing preventative & operational maintenance activities.
• Perform repair work on trucks and restore them to working order through component(s) replacement and / or repair
• Test repaired trucks for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• Clean and grease chassis and universal joints, wheel bearings, etc. as well as perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with company standards.
• Perform all work in accordance with company’s safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.


Skills and Experience requirement:

• Completion of Secondary Education is required. A relevant technical diploma or certification would be an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required.
