Congress Ave, Austin, TX. 78626Duration: Until 8/31/2022 with possible extensionLast date for submission: June 14, 2022 (2.00 PM-CST) DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:The Worker will apply their expert knowledge of ETL testing (MS SQL and Oracle SQL) in the RRC agency technology applications along with QA testing((link removed) Web, Mainframe (MF), Informatica, ADA, etc to support the needs of internal Mainframe Transformation project teams. Major responsibilities include performing software testing activities to include participation in or completion of implementation validation actions across multiple test streams, typically under tight deadlines. A significant portion of the planned work will be in data migration testing and ETL testing. Expert level of knowledge and experience in writing complex MS SQL is required to maintain the advanced ETL testing scenarios. Work includes developing Quality Assurance (QA) artifacts such as end-to-end test cases/scenarios based on software requirements/design, test data prep in mainframe and web-based systems; preparation for and completion of test triage activities with large teams or as the only tester; and reporting on test status and test metrics daily as input for tracking work in the Mainframe Transformation program. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Requirements:Years Required/Preferred Experience8 Required Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering Methodologies.8 Required Skill/understanding of Functional testing, System testing, Smoke testing, Regression testing, Black box testing, white box testing.8 Required Writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procedures (including test plans and test cases8 Required Reviewing and interpreting business requirements and design specifications and translating them into test procedures.8 Required Understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)8 Required Good communication skills (interpersonal, listening, written and oral), be self-motivated, organized, thorough, and efficient.7 Required Extensive exposure to Back-end/ETL Testing with advanced SQL skills, in-depth understanding of ETL concepts7 Required Skill to write complex SQL/MS SQL queries for in-depth testing of complex applications. Experience must demonstrate advanced-level use of SQL queries and PL SQL programs.4 Required Experience must demonstrate Change Data Capture (CDC) planning and testing and/or Data Migration testing.2 Required Ability to test Web applications designed in Java, and .NET; familiar with Cloud and Software-As-A-Service (SAAS) concepts.4 Preferred Skill with developing Web application testing automation using Java and Selenium, or similar.4 Preferred Understanding of Microsoft, Java, and n-tier web technologies.4 Preferred Experience in Performance, Load and Stress Testing.2 Preferred Familiarity with Informatica and Mulesoft.1 Preferred Skill with Mainframe application testing (one or more of COBOL, JCL, CICS1 Preferred Experience in Oil and Gas industry as well as general compliance and enforcement related projects.1 Preferred Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
