Job description:

Essentials:

10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end migration of applications and workloads to cloud platform (Azure experience is preferred)

Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, to migrate applications and workloads to Cloud

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, to define migration requirements, establish migration goals, and develop migration plans

Coordination with technical teams, managing dependencies, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery.

Define and implement best practices and standards for Azure cloud migration, including migration methodologies, tools, and processes, to ensure consistent and efficient migration of applications and workloads.

Monitor and report on migration progress, including status updates, risks, and issues, to senior leadership and stakeholders, and develop mitigation strategies as needed

Excellent communication skills with strong analytical skills and organizational skills

Demonstrate:

Experience leading, steering and mentoring a multi-discipline virtual technical teams in a multi-cultural and multi-vendor environment, working with teams spread across various geographical locations.

Ability to prioritize work efforts to meet deadlines and work effectively in a large team environment.

Ability to evaluate information quickly, look beyond the information, gather appropriate facts and evidence and explore potential root causes before a conclusion is made.

Ability to lead discussions in a constructive way with clear goals, deliverables, documented agreements and follow up actions.

Ability to interact professionally under pressure with a wide range of customers ranging from end-users and IT staff to management and external service providers.

Experience in developing and executing complex migration strategies and plans, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Desirable:

Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are preferred.

Familiarity with DevOps practices, agile methodologies, and automation tools for cloud migration
