Title: Print-Room Specialist
Location: Coppell, TX
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: Twenty Dollars Seventy Five Cents per hour on W2
Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - FINISHING OPERATOR PRINT PRODUCTION
  • Operation of high level Finishing equipment: Offline Booklet makers, Folders and Large Hydraulic cutter finishing equipment in an automated high speed/high volume print production environment.
  • Includes packaging for, FedEx air, local delivery, coordinate automated and manual processes for finishing and packaging client materials
  • Implement and maintain distribution and tracking systems-Use of customized software to update job statuses and tracking of work activities completed on shift
  • Recommend improvements to achieve optimized work flows- Focal contact for jobs completed and shipped.
  • Fill out shipping forms and/or enter electronically in shipping terminal per the job ticket Perform finishing work on documents to be mailed, such as cutting, scoring, folding and insertion. Perform fulfillment functions, such as assembly, packaging, shipping, and tracking of kitted materials
  • Follow onsite security procedures. Perform inventory pick/pull of warehouse printed items and shipping and receiving using automated system.
  • Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements. Fully operate, clean and maintain all finishing equipment daily. Communicate service on finishing equipment if need occurs to Site Coordinator.
  • SKILLS:
    -Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds- Able to demonstrate ability to read, write and follow English instructions
    - Able to demonstrate PC / Internet Skills, open, complete and save/print internet forms. Intermediate knowledge of MS Word or equivalent (insert images; create and manage tables and columns; edit headers/footers; create forms; create and manage multiple sections
    -- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel or equivalent (navigate multiple worksheets within a workbook; basic math functions; create basic formulae)
    -- Basic knowledge of network (e.g., how to add or delete a network printer)
    -- Basic knowledge of Digital Front Ends for programming finishing specs as needed to operate finishing equipment. Determine output packaging per packaging standards (e.g. process for books, tabs, etc.)
    Ability to demonstrate use of finishing equipment per training for example : -- Finishing equipment -- Inserters Folders (brochures, cards, etc.) Booklet maker (saddle stitch output)
    Hydraulic cutters -- FedEx shipping systems
    - Able to demonstrate Customer service and communication skills
    - Able to demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks Able to demonstrate ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
    - Able to demonstrate ability to perform data entry- Able to demonstrate use of Production Finishing Software where applicable
    - Able to demonstrate ability to estimate and schedule finishing production jobs , including operators, job path and time requirements
    - Able to demonstrate ability to train and mentor other Finishing client associates
    EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years knowledge and experience with finishing procedures and operating Finishing equipment in print production environment.
    EDUCATION: Minimum: High School diploma or equivalency
    EDUCATION VERIFICATION: Yes

    SHIFT: Mon - Friday 7am - 4 pm CST; 1 hour lunch
