JOB DESCRIPTION

Logistics Systems Technical Program Manager

The Logistics Systems Technical Program Manager will support the configuration and development of the logistics systems in our manufacturing facility including WMS, Kanban and material planning systems (MRP). The Logistics Systems Technical Program Manager will collaborate with the Manufacturing and IT organizations as a logistics representative.

The Logistics Systems Technical Program Manager will support implementing new systems or upgrades, system setups/improvements/customizations utilizing appropriate change management and project management methodologies. They will also maintain the continuous design and library of data objects across logistics team scope.

The Logistics Systems Technical Program Manager must have a functional understanding of software systems and a demonstrable understanding of supply chain management and manufacturing principles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the product roadmaps and drive multiple concurrent projects
  • Work cross-functionally to gather user requirements, design, configure, test and implement systems and applications
  • Recommend new features or changes to configuration/workflows based on user feedback
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any logistics systems related hardware, software, user access etc.
  • Coordinate new software releases, fixes and upgrades with technical teams and users
  • Monitors system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability
  • Maintain the data standards and reporting across the team and department

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience in supply chain including logistics planning, warehousing, shipping and transportation in a manufacturing setting (preferably automotive manufacturing)
  • Experience designing dashboards and/or generating actionable reports
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, organization and communication skills
