RADIAS Health has multiple Mental Health Practitioner positions available at our Main Street Housing program. Our program provides supportive housing services collaboratively with Catholic Charities staff. RADIAS Health employees are co-located with Catholic Charities staff at the Higher Ground St. Paul site. Emphasis is placed on working with persons served in a residential setting. Our primary goals are to maintain a safe and secure milieu, to assess collaboratively with each individual what supports are needed to help maintain housing, to work with each individual to formulate a person-centered goal plan and to either provide those supports directly to each person or seek out outside providers who can more effectively assist in this manner. We work with other members of the team to assist persons served in obtaining and maintaining optimum quality of life consistent with individual needs and preferences.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Psychology or a related field and 1-year experience working with adults with mental illness.

Hours available:

  • Full-time Practitioner hours: Monday - Friday 1pm-9pm Salary $50,303 with full benefits package offered
  • Permanent Part-time hours: every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 4pm-10pm $24.18/hour


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services
  • Teach and develop independent living skills (relaxation, conversation skills, housekeeping, budgeting, etc.) for the persons served.
  • Identify individuals prone to having behavior emergencies and assist in developing additional programming appropriate for their needs.
  • Create a unique crisis plan for each person served.
  • Receive crisis calls from persons served.
  • Defuse and de-escalate any potential behavior emergencies and assist in developing additional programming appropriate for the person's needs.
  • Assist with discharge planning.
  • Responsible for providing staff coverage and general support of the persons served.
  • Work effectively and professionally with other treatment team members.
  • Work professionally and collaboratively with outside providers.
  • Establish positive working relationship with RADIAS Health and with Catholic Charities staff.
  • Attend all team meetings as scheduled.
  • Assist in the orientation of new admissions to the program care.
  • Complete all paperwork, reports, and charting contemporaneously and in an organized manner.
  • Is familiar and maintains compliance with applicable Minnesota Statues or rules, including, but not limited to DHS, MS 253B, Maltreatment of Vulnerable Adults, Duty to Warn, Minnesota Data Practices Act.
  • Maintain a pattern of regular work hours.
  • Participate actively in on-going professional growth and development; maintain appropriate professional behavior and participates in appropriate supervision.
  • To complete all trainings required for Main Street Housing - Higher Ground St. Paul and other trainings as deemed necessary by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree behavioral science or related fields;

and

  • 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to persons with mental illness.
