Job Overview

Atlas Therapy is seeking a full-time Office Specialist to join our State College team in providing quality care to expedite our patients journeys to better living. This includes tasks to assure that the patients experiences go above and beyond their expectations. The ideal candidate has previous healthcare administrative experience with exceptional communication, organization, and customer service skills. Prior experience in a medical setting with billing experience is highly valued.

Job Responsibilities
  • Welcoming and attentive to patients in the clinic and on the phone.
  • Completes appointment tasks such as checking-in patients, scheduling future appointments, and collecting payments.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Confirms referrals are accurate and initiates contact to schedule the evaluation.
  • Accurately gathers all demographic information and carefully enters this information in EMR to create patients cases.
  • Obtains verifications and pre-authorizations through various portals.
  • Optimizes patients satisfaction, providers time, and treatment space by skillfully scheduling appointments to match the Atlas Therapy treatment model.
  • Follows physical therapy guidelines and insurance regulations.
  • Provides a comforting atmosphere through conversation with the patients, answering questions, and maintaining the front desk and reception area.
  • Assists with back-office administrative tasks including billing and reports.
  • Assists in monitoring inventory and ordering supplies.
  • Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
  • Works closely with clinical and administrative staff to guarantee the best patient experiences.

Requirements

  • Previous Healthcare Administration experience (2-years)
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Professional attitude, detail oriented, and can work independently or as a group
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay well-organized
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to consistently maintain a professional attitude
  • Display a strong work ethic
  • Extremely friendly and welcoming
