Do you want to be part of an exciting and team-oriented, multi-specialty Ophthalmology practice? We are looking for a full-time person to work in our Northgate clinic.

Northwest Eye Surgeons provides a great work-life balance with no weekends or holidays work.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Take patients' medical histories, perform workups, and perform ophthalmic diagnostic exams to obtain the information needed for the provider to determine a diagnosis
    • Operate ophthalmic equipment, such as Auto Refractor, Retinoscopes, Phoropters, Slit Lamp, Pentacam/Topography, Wavescan, IOL master/ Lenstar, Projectors, Zeiss OCT, and Heidelberg OCT.
    • Assist providers in performing ophthalmic procedures and by performing clinical functions, such as room flow, status communication to patient and provider
    • May instruct the patient in the care and treatment of eye conditions, apply dressings to the eye, as well as assist medical providers with documentation of exam data.
    • Triages phone calls from patients and outside contacts in accordance with the standard of care for Ophthalmology and office policies.
    • And other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of medical coding, terminology preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office products, and strong keyboarding skills.
  • Flexibility to effectively work alone or in a team
  • Demonstrated multitasking and adaptability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Drive for exemplary customer service
  • Enjoy working with the elderly population
  • Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization with an attention to detail
  • Comfortable with communication via phone, internet, and in-person
  • Maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies
