What You'll Do:

Deployment of systems providing wired and wireless connectivity along with video services to the end user.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and upgrade CATV and Satellite Video Systems, Internet (DOCSIS/Ethernet/Fiber), Wi-Fi, and voice services.
  • Test network to ensure it meets proper specifications and performance levels.
  • Manage project inventory.
  • Provide construction updates to the Regional Project Manager and General Manager.
  • Provide updated As-Built drawings.
  • Oversee and implement Quality Assurance procedures for independent contractors and insourced personnel to ensure the accuracy and quality of a project launch.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair internet, satellite, and voice systems as needed, inclusive of wiring.
  • Handle customer questions/concerns and help develop solutions to issues.
  • Adhere to all company and cl policies and procedures, codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Meet deadlines, keep schedules, and perform to target levels in a high production environment.
  • Enter time worked correctly on his/her timesheet and complete other administrative tasks consistently and accurately.
  • Call/text customers for appointments the morning of the scheduled work order and additionally 30-60 minutes within arrival time, noting on the work orders the actions taken (e.g., left VM, appointment dates and times, etc.).
  • Close work orders by the end of each business day.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required to include building and testing experience with CATV, DirecTV (including residential single family, & MFH2/D2 systems), DISH Network QAM, DOCSIS, Ethernet, Fiber, & Wi-Fi systems in an MDU/commercial environment.
  • Possibility to be on-call 24/7 during a standard on-call rotation. When on-call must respond within 60 minutes of being called.
  • Must be comfortable with heights and exposure to outside weather conditions, and able to lift 50lbs.
  • Available to perform some travel (when needed)
  • Available to work some weekends and/or evening hours.
