Our client is looking Mainframe z/OS Architect for Long Term project in Waltham, MA(Hybrid) below is the detailed requirements.

Job Title : Mainframe z/OS Architect

Location : Waltham, MA (Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term

Job description:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent, with minimum 15+ Years of relevant experience(link removed)>
  • Must have 13+ years of strong experience in Z/OS, RACF/PCM.
  • Excellent understanding of System z architecture.
  • Strong experience with IBM z/OS operating system and subsystem Components.
  • Responsible for evaluating, planning, installing and maintaining the z/OS Operating system and related software products.
  • Strong knowledge on Data center Migration.
  • Parallel Sysplex, SMPE, REXX, RMF, SMF, WLM, Understanding of System z architecture, zOSMF.
  • System parameters/parmlib maintenance.
  • Provide On-call support for z/OS, Network & drive any z/OS related issue with respective.
  • Should have experience in zOSMF configuration and setup.
  • Diagnose and resolve errors in major operating systems and subsystem components (e.g., z/OS, CICS, DB2,JES2 system Z) and other critical required software.
  • Resolve complex systems integration issues including activities associated with various distributed platforms.
  • Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
