We seek an Assistant Project Manager committed to building a long-term construction and project management career. You should also have excellent communication and organizational skills and experience with modern project management tools.

What you will need:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project management.
Strong knowledge of contract documents and construction plans.
Experience in purchasing materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Ability to review and finalize contracts.
Proficient in preparing and presenting construction plans.
Familiarity with obtaining permits.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with project team members, subcontractors, and vendors.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance.
Experience in preparing project budgets and tracking costs.
Proficiency in conducting quality control inspections.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What you will be doing:

Assist the project manager in various pre-construction duties.
Review and understand contract specifications and drawings.
Coordinate and distribute project submittals.
Set up and maintain project files.
Establish and update project schedules.
Conduct quality control inspections of work installed.
Attend subcontractor and coordination meetings.
Prepare and manage change orders.
Track submittals and ensure timely distribution.
Assist in project review documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Prepare invoices and follow up on payments.
Document delays, changes in work conditions, and schedules.
Anticipate future project requirements and needs.
Assist in project closeout activities, including compiling final pay applications and coordinating punch list issues.
Coordinate equipment start-up, owner training, and commissioning.
Distribute Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
Oversee completion of project as-built documentation.
Prepare warranty documentation.
Interact with Grodsky Service for potential opportunities.
