#Hiring: A&P Mechanic

Salary: $35 $40 per hour (DOE)

About the Role

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced A&P Jet Aircraft Mechanic to support maintenance for corporate and commercial aircraft at our Portsmouth facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of business jets, proficiency in FAA regulations, and a commitment to safety and quality. This position includes supporting the PCA Mobile Repair Team during AOG events and requires strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair airframe, engines, and related aircraft systems
Support PCA Mobile Repair Team on AOG events as needed
Promote safety throughout all operations
Report safety deficiencies and production inefficiencies to management
Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements
U.S. Citizenship Required
Education & Experience:
A&P Certification required
2 5 years turbine aircraft maintenance experience preferred
Experience with Part 145, 135, and AOG preferred
Completion of factory schools for relevant aircraft preferred
Technical Skills:
Basic computer skills and experience with electronic manuals
Experience with Corridor software preferred
Additional Requirements:
Valid drivers license required
Ability to complete assigned work with minimal supervision
Must pass FAA and Homeland Security background checks and pre-employment drug screening
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions for extended periods
Able to work on ladders and work stands
Ability to lift and pull up to 70 pounds
Manual dexterity and physical strength to operate tools
Visual and hearing acuity necessary for inspections and testing
