A&P Mechanic

Job Title: Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic

Department: Aviation Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor or Director of Maintenance


Job Summary

We are seeking a certified and detail-oriented A&P Mechanic to join our aviation maintenance team. The A&P Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft to ensure they meet FAA safety and regulatory standards. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, precision, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on aircraft systems and components.

  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure airworthiness.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

  • Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, landing gear, brakes, and avionics.

  • Use diagnostic tools such as ammeters, compression checkers, and ignition analyzers.

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.

  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.

  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues.

  • Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in commercial or regional aircraft maintenance.

  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance software.

  • Military aviation maintenance experience is a plus.
